The High & the Low

It’s time again for the High & the Low, a Curbed Austin column chronicling the most and least expensive homes sold in Austin in the last seven days. (Sales information gathered from Zillow, Redfin, and Realtor.) Let’s see what buyers and sellers bought and paid for this week!

The home that fetched the highest price this week is described as a “sprawling Texas Hill Country estate,” which works, though calling its location the Barton Creek neighborhood would also not be wrong. The 9,618-square-foot manse has a total of six bedrooms and six and a half bathrooms in the two-story main house, guest quarters, and garage apartment.

In addition it its formal rooms, the home has a gourmet kitchen/family room, a game room, a study with a fireplace, and an exercise room, with hardwood floors throughout. The backyard has views, along with a patio, pool, and a gazebo with a fireplace.

304 Portofino Ridge Drive. The property was listed for $2.7 million on March 22 and sold on May 10 for $2.596 million.

12166 Metric Boulevard #133. A condo in Far North Austin proved the least expensive home of the week. The one-bedroom, one-bathroom home measures 516 square feet and is located in the Edge Creek complex, which has a pool and a tennis court.

The property was listed for $84,900 on April 19 and sold on May 8 for $90,500.
