New, 1 comment

Pay enough rent and you get a lot of choices

Welcome to Curbed Comparisons, a column that explores what one can rent for a set dollar amount in various Austin neighborhoods. Is one person’s studio another person’s townhouse? Let’s find out! Today’s price: $2,900.

Milago, 54 Rainey Street Apt. 321, two-bedroom, two-bathroom condo apartment, 1,164 square feet, $2,995/month. It would be hard to live closer to the Rainey Street action than this apartment. Located in the Milago building, it offers access to community amenities including a barbecue pit/grill, a rooftop pool, bike storage/lockers, and a fitness center (if you feel like staying in). This unit has a large, private terrace overlooking the popular Downtown entertainment area, and it fronts on Lady Bird Lake on the opposite side.

East Annie Street, two-bedroom, two-bathroom house, 1,150 square feet, $2,950/month. There’s not an exact address on this listing, but it’s clearly located in the heart of Travis Heights, close to South Congress as well as the neighborhood’s pools and parks. The home was updated in 2016 and features wood floors, laundry facilities, and a large backyard with a covered patio, cultivated for hanging out/entertaining. Small dogs allowed.

11100 Balcones Woods Circle, four-bedroom, two-bathroom house, 2,675 square feet, $2,901/month. Located on a cul de sac in Balcones Woods, this updated single-family home was built in 1971. The single-story home features high ceilings, large windows, wood and tile floors, granite, travertine, glass tile, and display shelves. There’s also a big swimming pool in the backyard.

Mosaic at Mueller, 4600 Mueller Boulevard Apt. 3097, three-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment, 1,528 square feet, $2,901/month. Mosaic is marketed as a luxury apartment complex and offers the requisite amenities as well as walkable access to the many offerings in the Mueller community. The kitchens offer modern and rich granite countertops, stainless appliances and gourmet kitchen islands. Apartments have 10-foot ceilings, faux wood floors, custom lighting, in-unit laundry facilities, outdoor storage, custom lighting and ceiling fans. Pets allowed.

3111 Harris Park Ave #A, three-bedroom, two-bathroom house/duplex, 1,478 square feet, $2,900/month. It’s unclear if this house in the historic Hancock neighborhood is a detached or attached condo/duplex, but it appears to be the latter. Built in 1924, the house has a large living area and bedrooms, hardwood floors, a washer/dryer, a fenced backyard, and a front patio.
