If you’re looking forward to celebrating workers and/or are a worker looking to celebrate this Labor Day weekend, we have you covered.
We’ve put together a list of guides and maps to help you make the most of this three-day weekend. Whether you’re planning to spend some quality time in the water or want to road trip out of the city, find it all here.
For Austin’s greatest summer hits, check out our seasonal Pocket Guide. If you are hitting the town (or country) with the kids, our map of special, kid-centric local places is essential.
There will be no shortage of events available for celebrating the long weekend, of course–standouts include BABES Fest at various venues, the Out of Bounds Comedy Festival, Six Square’s District Cultural Arts Fest in Central East Austin, and the Capital City Black Film Festival.
If you need to get contemplative, relaxed, aligned, and/or worked out before going back to work, you’re in luck: As is tradition, Monday (Labor Day) is a Free Day of Yoga, with scheduled classes all over town.
If you are looking to celebrate with delicious food and beverages but don’t feel like firing up the grill, our sister site, Eater Austin, has a great round-up of places to eat and imbibe.
And if all that sounds like too much bother, you can always stay home and shop for furniture.
