The 78745 ZIP code area in Far South Austin is becoming wildly popular for homebuyers, partly due updated 1970s ranch homes, such as this one in the Buckingham Ridge subdivision. Asking $355,000, the single-story home has three bedrooms and two bathrooms in 1,460 square feet. There’s also a fenced backyard with a patio and a two-car garage.

The Agave planned community in far East Austin has some distinctive contemporary homes on offer, including this two-story house asking $360,000. Built in 2009, it has still quite popular features, including an open concept living area with high ceilings, concrete and bamboo floors, solar panels, and a tankless water heater. It features three bedrooms and three bathrooms in 1,592 square feet as well as a bedroom balcony with views, a deck, and a carport in back.
