Design makes the difference in East Austin condo asking $599K

This 2008 condo on a bright corner lot in East Austin is the second listing we’ve come across recently to demonstrate that interior design (along with great staging) can make all the difference in a home’s appeal. (The first was a spiffy redo of a Pemberton Heights home that recently returned to the market.)

That’s not to say that the exterior of the two-story home, and especially its yards and gardens aren’t just fine. But just the right combination of interior touches such as concrete and wood floors, modern barn doors, a ceiling projector and built-in screen, and a layout that’s both open and allows privacy helps set it apart. (Admittedly, the staging and furniture do some of the visual lifting, too, but wouldn’t be too difficult to replicate should the buyer desire).

The two-story home measures 1,750 square feet and has three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms. In addition to the above-mentioned features, the recently remodeled kitchen has open shelving and tiled walls, and there have been HVAC upgrades, new crushed granite landscaping added, and fresh paint applied inside and out.
