As street closures go, this one doesn’t rival those of the upcoming SXSW maelstrom, but we all like to keep up with event(s) that will be blocking traffic celebrated on major streets on the weekend.
This weekend—Saturday, March 2, from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., the Texas Independence Parade will take place on Congress Avenue and include the closure of some surrounding streets during that time.
Specifically, according to the Downtown Austin Alliance’s street closure page, blockage will be as follows:

The bridge will close at 7:00 am and reopen at 11:00 am.
