In these heady days of rampant change, it’s good to know that you can still buy a lovely, Craftsman-style home with almost unreasonably fabulous downtown views for less than $2 million. That’s the asking price of this one-story, wood-frame home in Clarksville, anyway. Price tag aside—and overlooking the vacation-rental staging in some rooms—there’s a pretty nifty, vintage home that appears to be in great shape here.

Built in 1925, the 3,065-square-foot house is currently laid out as a split-level duplex, with a total of five bedrooms and four bathrooms. The upstairs main house—with three of the bedrooms and two of the bathrooms—is the one with a large backyard deck overlooking downtown, a few blocks away. It also has high ceilings, wood floors, a fireplace, and what looks like lots of original trim, windows, and doors.

The lower level opens on to a porch and a shaded backyard with a fire pit. The home is listed by Travis Real Estate,

Living room with yellow walls, multi-paned windows and glass door inset, a black ceiling, white crown molding, a fireplace, and a chandleir made of a white vintage ceiling light medallion, electric cables, and Edison light bulbs.
Dining room with black walls, french doors, wood floors, and multipaned winows.
A kitchen with an arched doorway, white square tile backsplash, a stainless steel island and appliances, white upper cabinets with glass doors, and a black roof and trim.
A bedroom with white walls, black trim, a black beadboard roof, and wood floors. It also has an exterior door with a window inset.
A contemporary bathroom with a curved concrete counter, stainless steel sink, and a walk-in shower with shiny silvery tiles.
A large wooden deck built around a large old oak tree at night with lighted downtown buildings in background.
