An updated ranch-style house in Tarrytown might not be a rarity, but there’s something about the remodel on this one that makes it look especially sleek and stylish. Or maybe it’s the photography—but whatever the case, it has an open plan that brings in lots of light and appealing, sophisticated finishes and features.

While the living areas, dining room, and kitchen have been opened up, as contemporary taste (and sun lovers) would have it, the single-story, 2,067-square-foot home’s long, horizontal lines point to its 1960 origins.

The house has three bedrooms and two bathrooms and features wood and hard tile floors, recessed lighting punctuated occasionally by contemporary pendant ceiling fixtures, a covered patio and porch, a newly landscaped backyard, and a two-car garage. Tammy Koen at Gottesman Residential Real Estate has the listing.
