Heading to the South Austin neighborhood of Garrison Park (still in 78704!), we find one-bedroom, one-bathroom apartments starting at $890 per month. That gets you 563 square feet in the Club at Summer Valley apartments, in a unit featuring “refreshed” cabinets and countertops, black kitchen, and a private balcony or patio area. The complex amenities include two swimming pools, a 24-hour fitness center, and community barbecue grills. Cats and small dogs are allowed.
Smack dab in the middle of Manor Road’s restaurant row in Cherrywood is the renovated but old-school Volume Apartments, with studios renting for $899 per month. The 378-square-foot units come with covered parking, shared laundry facilities, and a community courtyard with barbecuing and picnic areas. Cats and small dogs are allowed.
A recently remodeled studio (or “efficiency loft,” as the listing puts it) at the Springdale The 437-square-foot apartment looks pretty no-frills but light and bright, with wood-style floors, white walls, and a full-sized fridge. It’s located in the Govalle neighborhood in East Austin, in a 1965 complex surrounded by large trees and other greenery, near downtown and Eastside hot spots. Rent is $898 per month. No pets, though.
Located in the Village at Walnut Creek subdivision a little northeast from the Domain, the Twenty15 Apartments has one-bedroom, one-bathroom units available starting at $879 per month. Apartments have wood-look flooring, quartz kitchen counters, dark walnut cabinetry, and laundry hook-ups. Community amenities include a pool, a fitness area, and pet park. Up to two cats and/or dogs are allowed with weight and breed limits.
