If you want to live small on Duval (sorry), please see this two-story, single-family house that packs three bedrooms and two bathrooms in 981 square feet. Located across the street from the Flight Path coffeehouse in North Loop and built in 1940, the house has wood floors, new stainless appliances, and a fresh paint job. It rents for $3,000 per month with a six-month lease; rent will increase to $3,500 in August. Pets are not mentioned in the listing.
Back in South Austin, the Galindo neighborhood offers up a two-story townhouse measuring 1,663 square feet for $2,800 per month. It has two bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms, an open floor plan, spacious closets, and a private backyard. Cats and small dogs are allowed.
