Where to Rent in Austin Right Now

AZUL Lakeshore
Millennium Rainey Street Apartments
The brand-new, eight-story Millennium in southeast downtown’s popular Rainey Street entertainment district has 326-unit units, ranging from 522-square-foot studios starting at $1,765 a month to two-bedroom, 1,392-square-foot apartments starting at $3,620. Designed by Ziegler Cooper Architects, the building was developed and is managed by The Dinerstein Companies of Houston. According to a May 16 Austin Business Journal article, the complex is already moving in tenants as the building is being completed.
Northshore
Plopped about as central as you can get, Northshore is part of the redevelopment of the former Green Water Treatment Plant site downtown. Built by Houston-based Hanover company, the 439-unit building is also moving in tenants as construction is completed. Apartments range from 504 to 2,567 square feet, starting at $1,758 for a one-bedroom and into the stratosphere for three-bedroom units.
422 at the Lake
According to the Austin Business Journal, 422 at the Lake, located on the south side of the river near the Long Center, is moving in tenants while construction is being completed. The complex offers quite a few luxury amenities, including a Crossfit room, and unobstructed downtown views. Rates start at a $1,365 a month for a one-bedroom that's just under 500 square feet and go up to $3,621 a month for a 1,365-square-foot, two-bedroom unit.
Corazon
A forerunner in the transformation of the southwest corner of the Eastside—most significantly, of the Saltillo Plaza complex being planned around the train station—the Corazon is in a lively area full of nightlife, restaurants, and a growing amount of retail. It offers studios starting at $1,532 up to two-bedroom apartments for $2,658.
Whitley at the Brazos
The Whitley is one of downtown's most high-end luxury apartment complexes, with studios for $1,638/month up to two-bedrooms for $4,537, plus units in the $17-21K range, which are guessing are very luxe suites. There are all of the amenities you can imagine, plus a few more.
Lamar Union
Located in the South Lamar strip mall reimagined as eternally millennial playground, the Lamar Union apartments are neighbors with the Alamo Drafthouse South Lamar, High Ball, Shake Shack, Vox Table and many more fun places. Studios start at $1,315, and two-bedrooms run up to $3,260.
